What's New
The Magnum Force DC 754 utilizes a 4-knife, 75" chipper disc, has a large 26" feed opening, and is designed to move the flail in the field. The chip discharge chute is remote operated, camera monitored, and folds hydraulically for transport. To reduce landing costs, the trash separator and bark pusher both discharge on the opposite side of the chip discharge, allowing a trailer to park parallel with the chip system while being loaded. The bark discharge system is designed to eliminate carryover, enabling the highest quality chips at unprecedented production levels. Chip sizes from 3/8 inch to 1 inch are available. Each heavy-duty unit was built to be legally transportable and then designed to work together as one in the field. CBI has raised the bar significantly and brought in-woods chipping to a whole new level!CBI's new integrated, high capacity chipping system is designed specifically for logging contractors who want to maximize throughput, minimize downtime, increase production, and lower operating costs.
The bottom feed rolls are driven by direct-coupled Char-Lynn Motors through a Brevini Gearbox. The inside of the flail chamber has replaceable wear liners for easy maintenance and overall longevity of this machine. Residue is discharged from the flail chamber by a large hydraulically-actuated push ram that utilizes a 5 1/2” bore, 90-inch stroke cylinder. The Magnum Force Flail Debarker also features a closed-loop hydraulic system with a 95-gallon (361 L) reservoir. The B-5 undercarriage features two-speed, heavy-duty drive motors and Bonfiglioli Planetary Gear Drives. Also, a folding maintenance platform on the non-drive side allows for easy maintenance. The 540 hp Caterpillar C-15 electronic diesel engine is equipped with a heavy-duty radiator and a hydraulically-actuated, reversing Flexxaire fan. Finally, the Magnum Force Flail Debarker weighs approximately 73,000 lbs. (33,121 kg) with a 250-Gallon (950 L) fuel tank. It is completely controlled by radio remote. When material is fed into the flail chamber by pivoting top feed roll assembly with position sensing cylinders to ensure a controlled feed. The top feed roll is driven by a Poclain high torque wheel motor and a chain infeed conveyor (48" wide by 6'-9' long). The infeed and sides hydraulically fold for transport. The 2 flail design consists of one 40" swing diameter top flail drum by 48" wide with 8-link chains and one 40" swing diameter bottom flail drum wih 8-link chains for optimum contact with the wood to insure maximum debarking action. The top flail positions are determined by the top feed roll cylinder positioning sensors and flail RPM's are automatically adjusted based on log diameters. The flail drums are driven by Rexroth motors direct coupled to flail shafts designed for 0-700 RPM's. The 2 Flail also features replaceable wear liners inside the flail chamber. Designed for single-pass processing to a finished end product, the Shingle Pro is bigger, stronger, more reliable, and more productive than anything made for this application. It offers the highest throughput and the lowest cost per ton of any shingle grinding system available. It comes with a powerful CAT C27, 1050 hp electric start engine; a unique hog box design, which allows the upper hog box and bonnet assembly to hydraulically lift to expose the rotor and grates for safer and easier maintenance; a heavy-duty reinforced housing with replaceable wear liners; a rugged forged rotor with heavy-duty hammers and tips that are easy and cost effective to maintain; an integrated water spray system designed to control dust more efficiently in the grinding chamber (also doubles as a color injection system for mulch processing); a completely enclosed discharge conveyor for added dust control; and a unique engine cooling system that prevents radiator clogging. The optional CBI Magnum Overband Magnet features an extra strong permanent magnet enclosed in a special stainless steel frame, which allows for the most effective removal of metal and maximum performance. CBI’s new Magnum Force Shingle Pro XL 406 is the clear choice for recycling asphalt shingles or for high-volume material regrinding. Brochure - click here Video Clip - click here
The CBI Metal Detection System™ is setting a completely new industry standard. Carefully placed impact measuring sensors detect if a rotor tooth strikes tramp metal. Within milliseconds the sensor quickly communicates with the machine’s main control system, telling it that metal has been detected. The controller immediately reverses the feed system and throttles down the engine. Depending on the severity of the impact (and the option selected for your CBI grinder) the system hydraulically opens the anvil/screen frame assembly at an extremely high rate of speed without even requiring an actual impact against anvil or screen – thereby allowing a safe ejection of the tramp metal and minimizing potential damage. The sensitivity of the system is easily adjustable by the operator on the machine control panel. |
