The CBI Magnum Force Series 4000 Wood Hog is used for Yard Waste, Biofuel, Mulch, and Land Clearing.
This unit is specifically designed for super-high production of yard waste and tremendous throughput of uniform, high quality mulch. Some standout features of the 4000 series are the patented upswing rotor with replaceable hammers and tips, 1000 HP CAT electronic engine, built-in pre-screener, radio controlled, hydraulic swing-away anvil for tramp metal and 15 minute screen changes to name a few. The weight of this machine is 84,000-lbs. and is road legal. This machine is outstanding in converting bark, raw yard waste, leaves, regrind and logs to finished mulch! FEED CONVEYOR
16' x 60" Feed Conveyor with high troughing sides; impact plate in bottom; 18" head and tail pulleys; 440, 4-ply belt; hydraulic drive through gearbox.
HOG
- Heavy-duty reinforced housing with bolt-in replaceable wear liners.
- 39” diameter upper feed roller; high-torque Poclain hydraulic motor built into roller; hydraulic up and down pressure.
- 19” bottom feed roller; 3” shaft bearings, high-torque Brevini planetary gear drive.
- Extra heavy-duty grate frame with 3 replaceable grate liners; 1 ½” thick AR 400 liner, 210º of cutting surface
- Hydraulically operated swing away anvil for tramp metal escape; bolt-on wear liner.
- 40” diameter x 60” long hammer mill; 5” diameter shaft; forged 4” thick wall drum with 24 machine pockets, 24 bolt-on hammers using five, 1- 1/8” bolts per hammer; 24 bolt-on tips using one, 1-1/8” bolt per tip; rotor locked to shaft by four Bikon locking assemblies.
ENGINE
Caterpillar 3412 Diesel Electronic Engine rated, 1000HP at 2100 RPM with electric start, turbo charged and after cooled. The engine is equipped with:
- PT Tech model 318 extra heavy-duty PTO clutch hydraulically engaged with outboard support bearing.
- Donaldson Air Filtering System with Enginaire Pre-Cleaners.
- Spark Arrester
- Electric dual battery 24 volt DC system
- Emergency shut down and all weather control enclosures.
DISCHARGE CONVEYOR
50' x 60", 20° troughing idler conveyor; 16” head pulley, lagged; 2 15/16 shaft and bearings; 18” wing tail pulley; 2 15/16 shaft and bearings; 5” idlers; 330, 3-ply heavy duty belt; hydraulically folded upper section; direct coupled series 6000 Char Lynn 24 HP hydraulic drive; 17’10”’ discharge height.
TRAILER FRAME
Specially made wide flange structure for highest rigidity and strength; Hutchens H9700 tri-axle suspension; 3 axles, 10'6" spread; six super single wheels with Michelin, 445-65R 22.5 tires and two front stabilizers with 5” cylinders.
FUEL TANK: 380 gallon
HYDRAULIC SYSTEM
Complete with 80 gallon tank, pumps, valves, oil cooler, 6000 Char Lynn motor for discharge conveyor, 2000 series Char Lynn motors for feed system, all neatly plumbed using stainless steel tubing and hoses.
ELECTRIC
Radio remote control, which will run all functions of machine. Full mechanical backup of remote; 4 E-stops placed around machine; CAT engine RPM sensor that regulates feed system.
FLEXXAIRE FAN
Flexxaire fan, to replace Caterpillar standard fan, reverses airflow every 5-15 minutes to keep radiator clean from debris.
PAINT
All appropriate surfaces (except for wear and machined surfaces) are sand blasted to S.S.P.C. SP 6-10 commercial to white finish; one coat of epoxy primer to product spec and one coat of CBI yellow high gloss Dupont polyurethane enamel paint. Equipment is assembled using plated hardware.
