ADC
 ADC or Alternative Daily Cover made from grinding construction & demolition (C&D) waste has, in many areas, been an accepted alternative to valuable organic soils for daily covering of solid waste in landfills as required by State and Federal statute. Acceptable materials for making ADC include auto shredder fluff, construction and demolition (C&D) waste and ground green waste. All of this material comprising the ADC must be ground into a specified size (approximately 3 inch minus) in order for it to fill the voids of compacted trash – thereby serving as an odor and fire barrier.
ADC doesn’t represent the smartest use of a ground product that could be used as RDF but it is, nonetheless, a vast improvement in landfill management that replaces traditional burial of waste and use of large amounts of dirt.
